I use one of these 1.75 inch pads every night for removing stubborn waterproof mascara. I place the pad over my eye and lightly press against the lash line for 2-3 seconds before wiping across 3-4 times. It easily dissolves and absorbs all the mascara. I do the same to the other eye, using the same pad. It is a little bit oily, but I have yet to find a product that removes waterproof mascara as effectively as these pads do, they are fantastic, working better than any other removers I’ve tried. I use the Almay pads in conjunction with Ponds makeup remover cloths to remove foundation makeup and any residue from the pads. I’ve tried so many other removers and cleansers, and this is method I find most effective for me. As an extra tip… ever accidentally touch skin around your eye with the mascara brush and it won’t come off? I dip the tip of a Qtip into the jar and it removes the “accidental mascara.”

I have tried so many different eye makeup removers looking for something that takes off my mascara without the tugging and scrubbing of the delicate skin around my eyes. I always come back

The best "oily & waterproof" make-up remover

Well, i don’t really get some people they do complain about these Almay waterproof and eye makeup remover pads – too oily, to thin, they leave film, and bla bla….well, read what it is supposed to do and get regular liquid eye makeup and mascara remover instead, which is not oily and liquidy enough to rub off ur stubborn makeup! These Almay pads are the best invention, yes, it says : longwear and waterproof remover, it has to be oily to remove even the toughest lip paint, liquid long-lasting lip cremes, waterproof mascara and metallic tattoo or creme eye shadows! Definitely recommend, will buy again and by the way, i did try several different “longwear / waterproof makeup removers” – speaking about eyes and lips only!!! and none of the others worked so well and excellent! They do the job, yes, am removing the oily residues with a cotton pads or wipes, with facial tonic, cleansing water or make-up remover milk, and done! For a face makeup – foundations – remover – am using regular micellar cleansing water and cotton pads or wipes! Remember girls, these Almay pads are only for eyes and lips, but if you still deal with a tiny film/residues on or around your eyes, use a tonic or micellar water to get rid of these feeling! Since i love matte lip cream lipsticks and liquidy longwear colors/paints , (am not happy even with covergirl lip paint remover gel), am always having a tube of these pads in my purse, so can refresh my lips during the day! And yes girls, those who use longlasting and longwear lip /eye colors, know how much pain and rubbing off and time it takes to take off completely the colors and residues, so please, trust me!

hands down the best for aging skin and waterproof removal

this remover is by far my absolute favorite I’ve ever tried, it is a bit greasy but thats what I wanted as you don’t have to put eye cream on before you go to bed after you use it. Its been great for the aging skin around my eyes, I’m not sure if its really happening but since I’ve been using this (I’ve gone though 2 tubs now) i feel that my crows feet are fading and it truly does remove even the most stubborn waterproof eye make up!

Great Job !

These are too expensive for what they are, so I cringe when I buy them, however, they are the best I have tried out of many attempts. A cotton ball with baby oil does the job but it leaves a residue and cotton is tough on the sensitive eye area. At least this is less expensive on Amazon than in the store.

… well however I do prefer the oil free kind better because this leaves a weird residue on your face …

These work really well however I do prefer the oil free kind better because this leaves a weird residue on your face after removing make up and I feel like I need to then wash my face. They do take off make up easily though–even heavy duty mascara.
