Designed with pro makeup artist Samantha Chapman, Real Techniques brushes combine high-tech materials with innovative design to make creating a pixel-perfect look easier than ever: Taklon bristles are ultra plush and smoother than the hair you'll find in other brushes. Since taklon is synthetic, it's 100% cruelty-free. The soft fibers help create a flawless, high-definition finish in any type of light, from sunlight to harsh indoor lighting. The color-coded system corresponds to the key steps of makeup application so you can create a flawless base (copper), enhanced eyes (purple), and the perfect finish like a pro (pink). Each brush head is hand-cut to the perfect shape, allowing for precise application from dense coverage to a soft, delicate finish. The collection is suitable for a wide range of products and every makeup need – from powders, creams, and liquids to mineral makeup, highlighter, and shimmer. Brush names on the handles make for easy reference when creating your favorite look.

Perfect for liquid foundation

This brush is comparable to Urban Decay’s Good Karma Optical Blurring brush for those of you who are familiar with that brand. The brush is dense enough to blend and apply liquid foundation very well, but small enough to get all areas of your face, including the areas underneath/around the eyes and nose. Bristles are smooth, and are made for liquid makeup, so application feels super smooth and easy. This brush has become the one I use every day, and you can’t beat the price either!

Use it every day!

This brush is perfect for applying powder foundations. I don’t like it so much with liquid foundation/bb creams because I feel it’s a bit streaky with those, but when I use this for buffing in my Bare Minerals powder, it blends everything in seamlessly! I don’t like the bare minerals brushes because they’re scratchy and shed, but this is soft, never sheds on me, and is something I can’t imagine doing my makeup without! The brush hairs are short, and very dense making it a perfect buffing brush. Must have if you use mineral makeup or powder foundation!

Still being new to foundation brushes, this is the second one I have tried. The first being an ELF Kabuki brush, that wasn’t designated as a foundation brush. The only thing I’m having a hard time getting used to is the smaller size of this brush. It almost seems that I have to use more foundation than I did with the other, also it seems to leave a cakey texture. But all in all for the price of this brush compared to the higher end brushes, the quality seems excellent. Perfect brush for a beginner that isn’t sure about using a foundation brush. I would recommend this brush, and I will be trying other Real Technique brushes in the future!

I bought this brush after I bought a starter set at Target and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!! I use it everyday! It is a bit smaller than I expected, but other than that, I have no complaints. As of today, I have purchased the entire set including the “brow set” and the “prep and prime” set and plan to buy doubles of most of them. They are very easy to clean using the Real Techniques Cleansing Palette and the Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel Brush Cleaner (which I also bought on Amazon). I would DEFINITELY recommend buying these brushes!!!

I would highly recommend this

I wasn’t buying into the entire Real Techniques brand at first so I was a little hesitant to purchase this brush, however after my then “holy grail” brush broke, I decided to give it a try. I must say that I was really wrong in thinking this brush wasn’t going to work. It has exceeded my expectations. The bristles are so dense and compact, they are soft and apply both liquid and powder foundations flawlessly. I can honestly say, it makes your makeup look airbrush. I would highly recommend this product

I bought this back in March and am just washing it for the first time today ( really bad I know ) but then I had to do my makeup for work without it while it was drying and missed it so much I decided to write a well deserved review.

I finally decided I wanted a buffing brush for my foundation after watching a video posted by Wayne Goss. I love using my Real Techniques beauty sponge for foundation application (a great affordable dupe for the Beauty Blender), but I did want an option for when I didn’t want my foundation to be sheer.

Over the past several years, I have switched to using primarily Asian facial products for my cleansing and makeup needs. Foundations (along with BB/CC creams) do apply just a bit differently, and I was not thrilled with the results of using either fingers or sponges to apply them. I had never used a foundation brush, and now I’m wondering what took me so long to convert. This brush does an amazing job of distributing foundation evenly and comfortably. Given the high-end feel and performance, I still cannot get over the low price.
