I’d like to share my thoughts and opinions with you, and also compare this palette to Urban Decay Naked 3 and L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2. Many individuals are unaware, L’Oreal owns both Maybelline and Urban Decay. So when I started testing this palette, I was looking for similarities between both new L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 and also Urban Decay Naked 3 & which ill be providing examples.

Not bad, just steer clear of the unpractical brushes (applicators??)!

This is not a high end palette by any means but it could be decent for those starting out with makeup or those who don’t want to break the bank on eyeshadow. Right away I noticed that the 2 applicator brushes that come with this set are not very practical and I feel that it would have been best for Maybelline to have just left them out of the packaging all together! It brings the product’s value down in my opinion. The colors are on the warm to cool side so buy accordingly based on your skin tone.

Beautiful colors for all skintones.

These colors are so beautiful. Will look radiant on any skin tone. Like most eye shadows it is best to use a primer that way you can get a deep dark pigment. You an still use it without one, but the colors aren’t as pigmented but still give a tinted beautiful glow to your eyes. Very esy to apply except i use a different brush not the one it came with. And the guide on the back is great for beginners who aren’t sure what colors go best with each other.

I thought this would be an affordable way to experiment instead of buying something like Naked 3 or Lorac Unzipped

I bought this because it’s paraben-free and I wanted to experiment with pink/rose-gold shades. I thought this would be an affordable way to experiment instead of buying something like Naked 3 or Lorac Unzipped.

Bargain Palette!

LOVE this palette! It has 12 beautiful shades that are perfect for daytime looks or can be layered for dramatic evening eyes. The compact is slimline, so it will travel well without bulking up your makeup bag or case. It comes with 2 full sized, double sponge applicators, which are, surprisingly good for on the go application without having to bust out your brush collection. I have fair but ruddy skin that soaks up eye shadow pigment but I have been able to use just one dip of most of the colors from this palette to achieve good results. The lighter colors are not as pigmented, so they do require a couple of dips to get better application of color. The coral-y and pink-y hues are on point for a trendy eye when paired with the deeper colors for crease and lining. With primer and setting spray, the color has long-lasting wear – even during the hot August days I have been using it. I have used this kit for a few days and have been very happy with the results, as they are comparable to my pricey Urban Decay palettes. I also bought the brown toned nudes collection from Maybelline and love it as well for evening. I will be using this palette for daily looks and will continue to purchase it, as it is such a bargain! My photos show the kit upon arrival and the color swatches are just one “swipe” each.

Good for the price point

These colors are very beautiful, and the palette has a great variety of matte and shimmer options. My main complaint is that some of the shimmers are a little much, and they end up looking a bit like kids’ makeup. I use a primer on my eyelids before applying this to make it last longer, but it wipes off kind of weirdly if you rub your eyes (combining it with primer makes it wipe off all at once if you rub it, but it won’t stay for any amount of time whatsoever without primer).

The real deal

Great color pallet. Genuine Maybelline product. Love the color selection, easy to take several different colors with you.

Nice colors!

I love most of the colors in this palette (there’s always colors I don’t love in any palette). The darker colors are more pigmented and go on easily, but the lighter shades on top don’t apply as well. It’s hard to get the color and I find myself doing several passes with the brush to try and see the shimmer from them. I typically only apply my makeup once a day in the morning, but by the evening the eyeshadow really does need to be touched up. It creases a bit and wears down throughout the day. Overall the palette is useful and decent quality, and you get what you’d expect from a drug store brand makeup.
