Great for reducing shine!

Much like Rudolph, I tend to have a very shiny nose — especially when the warmer weather hits. These sheets are a godsend: They really do absorb oil and reduce shine to leave your skin matte and fresh-looking. They come in a slim little packet that fits easily into a purse pocket, and the “pop-up” feature is a nice touch to ensure that you only pull out one sheet at a time. I also like how the sheet becomes clear where it’s been used to blot oil, so you can tell easily where you’ve already used it.

More useful than expected

If you have naturally oily skin, washing your face twice a day probably isn’t enough. I learned this recently when I tried one of my girlfriend’s oil-absorbing sheets in the middle of the day. There was so much more oil than I expected! Afterward, my skin felt noticeably cleaner, and I’m hoping that a quick 10 seconds of this in the afternoon will help prevent breaking out.

Oil Be Gone

A friend introduced these blotting papers to me almost 10 years ago in high school. At the time, I didn’t really have oily skin but I thought it was a neat idea. 10 years later my skin has changed a lot and I was having issues with oily skin about halfway through the day. I tried different oil control products like sprays and primer but it made my skin break out a lot. After a ton of research, I stumbled upon blotting paper again and decided to give it a try. I’m SO glad I did.

my face is like a horse or dog rolling in the dirt right …

My skin doesn’t get too oily except after washing. No matter what I use to clean it (and I’ve tried MANY things), my face is like a horse or dog rolling in the dirt right after a bath–I’ve been washed; I must go on oil overload! These sheets are as much of an asset now as my Chapstick!

but not bad. I’m used to thin sheets of paper

Tried Clean and Clear sheets for the first time. Different from what I’m used to, but not bad. I’m used to thin sheets of paper… this feels like it’s a thin sheet of plastic with thin layer of absorbing powder. Works great. I have very oil skin and only need 1 sheet for my entire face (I use primarily on my T zone).

Decent blotting papers

I have been searching for the best blotting papers. My favourite is a kind I received as gift from Japan which I’ve long since ran out of, and haven’t been able to find. (They were the most absorbant papers that seemed to suck the oil right from your face visibly onto the sheet. If you find a Japanese brand packaged in little animal slips, please tell me)

Removes oil but leaves makeup intact

I’ve been using these oil-absorbing sheets for years, and always stock up before the warm weather hits. You get two “booklets,” with 50 sheets in each. The individual sheets are very thin, but the sticky tape on the closure makes them easy to grab. I just pat my t-zone area throughout the day and the oil is absorbed onto the sheet. It never takes my makeup with it. Used areas on the sheet become translucent so it’s really easy to see how much area on the sheet I have left. I throw them in my pocket, purse or bag, but rarely leave home without them (at least during the warmer months). I’ve never used any other brand so I don’t have anything to compare these to, but I’m happy enough with them that I’ve never felt the need to look further.

the only solution for very oily skin

I have very oily skin. Like if Shell knew about it, they might want to build a pipeline. These sheets are pretty magic. It’s like a plastic-y smooth sheet material. I have no idea what it’s actually made of. I just know they work really well at getting the oil off of my face and into the garbage.

Work Well!

I keep these in my purse for when my face gets shiny. I didn’t think I’d still be dealing with oily skin in my 30s, but oh well. They work well and if I am careful to blot and not wipe, they don’t remove any of my makeup.
